Kick-Ass 2 is the 2013 live-action Marv Films sequel to Kick-Ass, both based on the comics by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson returns to the role of Dave Lizewski, the ordinary teen to decided to be the costumed hero Kick-Ass. In the two years since the previous film he's been training with Hit-Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) to hone his skills. At the same time Chris D'Amico (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) is now in charge of his father's criminal operation and transitions into being a super villain called The Motherfucker. He forms a crew of costumed villains in a plot to exact vengeance from Lizewski. The film also stars John Carrey, Morris Chestnut, Clark Duke, Donald Faison, John Leguizamo and Benedict Wong.
Jeff Wadlow directed the film from his own script.
The film was a disappointment both in terms of box office and critical reception.
