Marvel Studios finally returns to theaters as lots of TV shows take the holiday week off in this standing-for-the-national-anthem-and-weeping-openly round up of C2Fs for the week of July 4, 2021!
July 6
Howard the Duck available on 4K Ultra HD. It was a box office black eye for George Lucas and the (pre-studio) Marvel brand. It had weak special effects, a lackluster script and a registered sex-offender in its cast. Wauuuuuugh! All the same, its not as bad as its reputation suggests and you can own the movie now on disc.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World available on 4K Ultra HD. Edgar Wright's much-loved cult classic based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's much-loved indie comics gets the 4K treatment this week as well.
The Flash season 7, episode 16, "P.O.W." airs on The CW. John Diggle (guest star David Ramsey) arrives in Central City with a weapon to help Barry stop the Godspeed War. Meanwhile, Allegra and Ultraviolet’s new bond is put to the ultimate test, while Joe and Kristin Kramer are hunted by a former colleague of hers.
July 7
Loki season 1, episode 5, available on Disney+. Just who are the Time Keepers really? And how many Lokis will it take to stop them?
Marvel Studios Legends season 1, episode 9, "Black Widow" available on Disney+. With the movie dropping this week, Disney+ offers another episode of their recap series catching you up on Natasha's journey from Iron Man 2 to Endgame...and beyond.
Animated Special The Simpsons: The Good, The Bart and The Loki available on Disney+. Loki is banished from Asgard once again and must face his toughest opponents yet: the Simpsons and Springfield’s mightiest heroes. The God of Mischief teams up with Bart Simpson in the ultimate crossover event paying tribute to the Marvel Cinematic Universe of Super Heroes and villains.
July 9
Theatrical Premiere Marvel Studios' Black Widow in theaters and on Disney+ Premiere. Finally! the first Marvel movie in over two years. Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by the Taskmaster who will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
