Wonder Twins is a defunct HBO Max live-action feature film that was to be based on the DC Comics characters of the same name that originated on the Super Friends animated series.
K.J. Apa (Riverdale) and Isabel May (1883) had been cast in the lead roles of Zan and Jayna, alien twins who joined the Super Friends in a latter season of the cartoon. In the series, Zan could transform into water-based forms. Jayna could morph into animal shapes. The pair were accompanied by Gleek, a blue simian who wore his own super suit.
Adam Sztykiel (Black Adam) was attached to write and direct. Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey were producing under their Temple Hill shingle.
In May 2022, it was reported that Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav had pulled the plug on the project.
