The Old Guard is a feature film from Netflix based on the Image Comics series by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez.
According to the Image Comics website, the comics tell the story of "old soldiers who never dieā¦and yet cannot seem to fade away. Trapped in an immortality without explanation, Andromache of Scythia - 'Andy' - and her comrades ply their trade for those who can find-and afford-their services. But in the 21st century, immortality is a hard secret to keep, and when you live long enough, you learn that there are many fates worse than death."
Netflix announced development of the movie in on January 3, 2020. Gina Prince-Bythewood is directing. Charlize Theron and Kiki Layne are starring.
Netflix provides this summary: Led by a warrior named Andy (Charlize Theron), a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die have fought to protect the mortal world for centuries.
