Here are three more images from the upcoming X-Men spinoff film, The New Mutants, courtesy of the movie's twitter feed.
These feature actress Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Raputina, better known as Magik. Illyana is the sister of X-Men's Colossus and has the mutant ability of teleportation. She's also a practitioner of sorcery and wielder of the Soulsword. In the photos we see her carving out a mural of a Russian skyline with a castle on the wall of her hospital room.
The photos cap off a week of image release which are found here and here. The film arrives April 03.
The New Mutants is directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in our Stars) from a script he co-wrote with Knate Lee, both self-described fans of the comics.
The cast includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Charlie Heaton as Cannonball, Henry Zaga as Sunspot, Blu Hunt as Mirage and Alice Braga as Cecilia Reyes. The film reshapes the comic book story with horror overtones. Instead of being educated at an upstate school the five young mutants are imprisoned in a secret asylum-like facility.
