The Boys vs. Invincible | Homelander vs. Omni-Man

Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons) is a planet-killing overlord who wants his son (Steven Yeun) to follow in his footsteps. Homelander (Antony Starr) is a sociopathic superman who wants his son (Cameron Crovetti) to be just like him. Which one is father of the year? Here's a comparison. You decide, then watch The Boys and Invincible on Prime Video now.

The Boys is the 2019 TV adaptation of the comic series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.

The show is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Hughie's (Jack Quaid) ordinary life is upended when A-Train (Jessie Usher), the speedster superhero, kills Hughie's girlfriend in an accidental collision. Not placated by the payout from the super team "The Seven" and their corporate masters a Vought Industries, Hughie falls under the spell of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). Like him Butcher is bitter about the way supers trample over regular people. Unlike Hughie, Butcher has the training and resources to actually do something about it. Hughie joins Butcher's squad, informally known as "the Boys," and begins a campaign to take down The Seven.

The cast also includes Elisabeth Shue, Erin Moriarty, Starr, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchell, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara and Tomer Kapon.

According to press materials, Invincible is an adult animated superhero series that revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (Simmons). In addition to Yeun and Simmons, the voice cast includes Sandra Oh as Deborah Grayson, Zachary Quinto as Robot, Khary Payton as Black Samson, Lauren Cohan as War Woman, Sonequa Martin-Green as Green Ghost, Chad Coleman as Martian Man, Michael Cudlitz as Red Rush, Lennie James as Darkwing and Ross Marquand as The Immortal.
