Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is Paramount Pictures' 2016 live-action feature film sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, both based on the franchise of the same name created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. It is the second film in the second TMNT film series.
This sequel has Leonardo (Pete Ploszek), Donatello (Jeremy Howard), Michelangelo (Noel Fisher) and Raphael (Alan Ritchson) fighting to stop an attempt to break Shredder (Brian Tee) out of prison. Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) has hatched a plan to free him from a prison transport that also holds criminals Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly). Stockman creates a teleportation device which actually puts Shredder in the presence of Krang (Brad Garrett) who wants the criminal's help with invading the earth.
Tony Shaloub, Megan Fox and Will Arnett all reprise their roles from the first film. The movie also adds Stephen Amell as Casey Jones.
Dave Green directed the film from a script by Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec.
The film underperformed at the box office and was still derided by critics. Although the studio had intended this to be an ongoing franchise, plans for a third movie were scrubbed in favor of an animated reboot.
Edgy toons are the word of the week as two new series debut and two old faves return in this dude-what-does-mine-say-sweet round up of C2Fs for the week of November 14, 2021!
