Seconds (Film)

Seconds is Searchlight Pictures' planned live-action adaptation of the Ballantine Books graphic novel of the same name created by Bryan Lee O'Malley.

Blake Lively is eyeing the project for her feature film-directing debut. Edgar Wright, who adapted O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim series, has written the script and is producing. Marc Platt is also producing.

The book tells of Katie, a talented young chef with a successful restaurant. Until it all goes to hell and she loses everything. A mysterious stranger arrives with a solution: Write down her mistakes, ingest a mushroom, go to sleep and wake anew. Miraculously, Katie's life is reset and she has a drawer full or magic mushrooms to allow her to undo her missteps. Now on a quest for perfection, Katie's grip on reality begins to loosen.
