Oblivion Song is a planned New Republic Pictures feature film based on the Skybound Entertainment comic book series of the same name created by Robert Kirkman and Lorenzo De Felici.
Jake Gyllenhaal (Spider-Man: Far From Home) is set to star in the movie. He'll also produce under his Nine Stories banner with partner Riva Marker. Kirkman, David Alpert, Bryan Furst and Sean Furst are producing for Skybound. Brian Oliver and Bradley Fischer are producing for New Republic.
The Image Comics website offers this description of the series: "A decade ago, 300,000 citizens of Philadelphia were suddenly lost in Oblivion. The government made every attempt to recover them, but after many years, they gave up. Nathan Cole won't. He makes daily trips, risking his life to try and rescue those still living in the apocalyptic hellscape of Oblivion. But maybe Nathan is looking for something else. Why can't he resist the siren call of the Oblivion Song?"
Actor Jake Gyllenhall is set to star in and produce New Republic Pictures' adaptation of the Skybound Entertainment comic book series Oblivion Song by Robert Kirkman and Lorenzo De Felici.
