Lumberjanes (TV series)

Lumberjanes is a planned animated HBO Max TV series based on the Boom! Studios comics of the same name created by Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis, Brooklyn A. Allen and ND Stevenson.

Stevenson, who has developed animated programs like She-Ra and the Princess of Power, is set to adapt and executive produce. The show will launch with a one-hour special. Ross Richie and Stephen Christy of will executive produce for Boom!. Mette Norkjae (also of Boom!) is co-producing with Watters, Ellis and Allen.

The Boom! website provides this description for the premise: "At Miss Qiunzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet’s Camp for Hardcore Lady Types, things are not what they seem. Three-eyed foxes. Secret caves. Anagrams. Luckily, Jo, April, Mal, Molly, and Ripley are five rad, butt-kicking best pals determined to have an awesome summer together…and they’re not gonna let a magical quest or an array of supernatural critters get in their way!"
