Krypton
Krypton is the 2018 live-action TV series, developed for SYFY, based on the DC Comics mythology of Superman.
Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel's home planet, Krypton follows Superman's grandfather Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) -- whose House of El was ostracized and shamed -- as he fights to redeem his family's honor and save his beloved world from chaos. He's aided by a time-travelling Earth man, Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) who has arrived on the planet to prevent an invasion by Brainiac, who has come to the planet to prevent the birth of Kal-El.
Georgina Campbell, Colin Salmon, Wallis Day, Emmett J. Scanlan and Hannah Waddingham are also among the cast.
Krypton is executive produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, The Dark Knight trilogy). Cameron Welsh (Ash vs Evil Dead) serves as executive producer and showrunner.
The show ran for three seasons on SYFY and inspired talk of a Lobo spinoff featuring Scanlan, but was then abruptly cancelled.
