The CW uber-producer Marc Guggenheim issued a confirmation of sorts of a spin-off of his popular and long-running Arrow. Here's the tweet, featuring a faux comic book cover promoting Green Arrow and the Canaries.
Green Arrow and the Canaries is a TV series spinning out of The CW's popular Arrow.
The show, somewhat confirmed by TV producer Marc Guggenheim, would star Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy who would reprise their roles as Mia Smoak, Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake from Arrow.
Mia Smoak is the daughter of Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen character. In season 8 of the show, Queen presents her with a Green Arrow costume and makes it clear that he wants her to carry on the legacy once he is gone.
No release date has been set for the new show.
