Dead Boy Detectives in Development at HBO Max

Variety reports that Steve Yockey, executive producer of The Flight Attendant, is looking to adapt Neil Gaiman's DC/Vertigo comic Dead Boy Detectives as a series for HBO Max. The comics feature Edwin Paine and Charles Rowland, two London boys who died (at different periods of time) but have resolved to continue with their penchant for solving mysteries. The characters originated in the pages of The Sandman which has its own series adaption on Netflix next year. Greg Berlanti is producing with partners Sarah Schechter and David Madden. Jeremy Carver is also producing. Edwin and Charles are set to appear in the third season of Doom Patrol, but it is unclear if that specific casting or take will carry over into the new show.
