Daily Blast: Samuel L. Jackson to Return as Nick Fury on Disney+ and Other Stories

Hawkman Cast for Black Adam Film

The upcoming Black Adam movie will feature Hawkman, a role that has been cast today, according to a report from Variety. Actor Aldis Hodge, seen in theaters earlier this year in The Invisible Man, is in negotiations for the role. We're guessing the movie will find the titular anti-hero (played by Dwayne Johnson) assembling a team of anti-heroes. Noah Centineo has previously been cast as Atom Smasher. Jungle Cruise director Jaume Collet-Serra is helming the feature which is slated for Christmas next year.

Samuel L. Jackson to Return as Nick Fury on Disney+

Actor Samuel L. Jackson is set to appear as Nick Fury in a new Marvel Studios TV series for Disney+. According to and exclusive report by Variety, the untitled show is being developed by Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot) who is writing and executive producing. Details about the show are scarce so it's unclear if Fury is the focus of the show or will continue to be a background element.

We last saw Fury in Spider-Man: Far From Home where it was revealed he is alive and well and living on some sort of space craft while a Skrull impersonated him on Earth. Many speculated at the time that this sets up S.W.O.R.D., an offshoot of S.H.I.E.L.D. that protects the planet from extraterrestrial threats.
