Actor/producer/living-legend Dwayne Johnson revealed a new release date for Black Adam today on social media and in real life. According to his tweet the film now arrives July 29, 2022, six months after the previously-announced date. Johnson posted a video of the film's logo nd ate blanketing the digital billboards of Time's Square along with the promise, "The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change."
The film has been casting up over the past year with a roster that now includes Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi and Marwan Kenzari are also in the picture.
Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) is directing. The film is part of the DC Extended Universe and also attached to the Shazam! franchise, on which Johnson is a producer.
