Injustice Animated Movie Gets October Date
The publicity team for Warner Home Video has announced the release date for the animated adaptation of Injustice. The movie, based on the video game which finds Batman at odds with a deranged Superman, is set to arrive on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray and Digital on October 19. The social post also revealed the intense box art for the release:
Annie Live! Adds Two
Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess are the latest casting additions to NBC upcoming Annie Live! production. Deadline reports that they'll be playing Lily St. Regis and Rooster Hannigan, a pair of grifters who claim to be the little orphan's parents in order to score a big reward from Daddy Warbucks (Harry Connick Jr.). Celina Smith was recently cast in the lead role. Other cast members include Taraji P. Henson and Nicole Scherzinger. The live performance airs on the TV network December 2.
Sorcerority Webcomic Gets Film Treatment
Deadline reports that Gamechanger Films has acquired the feature film rights to the webcomic Sorcerority, created by Mikhail Sebastian and George T. Watson, and available at sorcerority.com. Effe T. Brown is producing for Gamechanger, along with Gabrielle Union and Kian Gass for I'll Have Another Productions, and Taraji P. Henson and Christine Conley for TPH Entertainment. The premise involves Melanie, a young student who enrolls into a university for African-American witches.
