Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Halts Production
Marvel Studios is putting a pause on the currently-filming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to allow star Letitia Wright time to recover from a summer injury, according to a report on Deadline. The actor, who plays the Panther's younger sister Shuri in the franchise, left the set last August after a stunt rig accident sent her to the hospital. At the time, the injuries were described as minor and she left the hospital the same day. Details of the injury are not provided so its unclear why, if the injuries were minor, it is still impacting the shoot two months later. Disney recently adjusted much of its upcoming schedule, giving the Black Panther sequel some breathing room, so the shut-down isn't expected to impact the release.
