Daily Blast: Nocterra In Development at Netflix and Other Stories

Nocterra In Development at Netflix

A TV series adaptation of Scott Snyder and Tony Daniel's Image Comics series Nocterra is in development at Netflix.

Deadline reports that Robert Patino, who recently served as showrunner on HBO Max's adaptation of DMZ, is set to write, executive produce and serve as showrunner on the series as part of an overall deal with Netflix. James Wan (Aquaman) is an executive producer with Michael Clear and Rob Hackett under their Atomic Monster production company.

The story involves a world of eternal darkness where the living are turned into monsters unless they can stay in the light. Valentina “Val” Riggs makes a living transporting people and goods through the dark lands in her heavily illuminated eighteen-wheeler.
