Resident Alien 3 Loses Episodes

Deadline reports that the upcoming third season of Resident Alien will have fewer episodes than previous seasons.

SYFY has reportedly cut the season order from 12 episodes to 8. The report gives no reason for the reduction.

The move makes season three the shortest of the three seasons. Season two had 16 episodes which were released in two eight-episode blocks. It's possible SYFY is dispensing with the half-season concept and just releasing shorter seasons.

The new run will likely begin airing next year.
