Annie Live! Casts FDR
The upcoming NBC production Annie Live! has cast the role of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Veteran actor Alan Toy, who has appeared in Beverly Hills 90210 and West Wing to name a few, is set to play the president who is inspired by Annie (Celina Smith) to enact a program to poverty. Like Roosevelt, Toy has suffered from polio which left him with similar paralysis.
The live performance will air on NBC December 2 at 8pm ET/PT.
Spider-Man 3 Gets Poster Ahead of Trailer Drop
The social campaign for Spider-Man: No Way Home has published a new poster today. The new image features Spider-Man (in Iron Spider gear) standing back-to-back with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). Once again, the tentacles of Doc Ock frame the foreground, while the Green Goblin hovers on a glider in the distant background. The background also features the cityscape folding in on itself as we've seen in the Doctor Strange feature film.
The poster came with the promise that a new trailer is dropping tomorrow. The movie arrives in theaters December 17.
