Kevin Conroy Dies at Age 66
Voice actor Kevin Conroy has died.
His colleague Diane Pershing broke the new on Facebook, writing, "Very sad news: our beloved voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, died yesterday. He's been ill for a while but he really put in a lot of time at the cons, to the joy of all of his fans. He will be sorely missed not just by the cast of the series but by his legion of fans all over the world."
Conroy is beloved by animation fandom for portraying Bruce Wayne/Batman on Batman: The Animated Series as well as in countless follow-up works.
He recently portrayed a live-action Bruce Wayne in the first season of Batwoman, in an episode that was part of the Crisis On Infinite Earths storyline.
Plans called for Conroy to continue his Bat-family affiliation on Batman: Caped Crusader where he would voice Thomas Wayne.
Pershing is a fellow voice actor who portrayed Poison Ivy on B:TAS.
According to reports, the actor was 66 years old, and the illness he struggled with was cancer.
