Disney+ Sets Date for I Am Groot

The I Am Groot animated series from Marvel Studios now has a release date. The August 10 streaming date, along with new key art was posted on social media by the official Disney+ account.

Shortly after the announcement, series creator James Gunn hinted that the short segment series is not MCU canon. When asked where the series falls in relation to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the filmmaker replied, "They are animated shorts so not necessarily part of the Guardians saga."
