Tales of the Walking Dead Arrives Thursday on AMC+
The social campaign for The Walking Dead has posted a revised release calendar for the new spinoff series Tales Of The Walking Dead. As expected, episodes are generally arriving one week early on the paid AMC+ streaming service. However, previous tandem releases have debuted two episodes on the streaming service the same day that the first episode goes out on the AMC cable channel.
As revealed in today's social post, Tales is breaking that tradition. Instead, episode one will hit AMC+ this Thursday, three days ahead of the cable debut. Then, on Sunday, August 14, episode two will hit AMC+ while episode one hits AMC. Episodes will portion out weekly on both outlets after that.
IDW Publishing Announces Five TV Projects
A Deadline article lists five recent television development deals for IDW Publishing and its prestige imprint Top Shelf Productions.
Dark Spaces: Wildfire is in development with UCP. Based on the books by Scott Snyder and Hayden Sherman, the story involves female firefighters who see a heist opportunity in a forest fire.
The Delicacy is a Warner Bros. Television series based on the graphic novel by James Albon. It involves two Scottish brothers whose ambition to become restaurateurs is aided by the discovery of a mysterious mushroom.
Rivers is in the works with HBO Max based on the graphic novel by Dan Berry and David Gaffney. It focuses on a disparate group of lonely oddballs who discover one another when a dream-sharing app reveals they are all having the same dream.
Ballad For Sophie is in the works with Universal International Studios based on the graphic novel by Filipe Melo and Juan Cavia. It involves an aging, reclusive musical superstar who shares his astonishing story with a young journalist.
Brutal Nature is a mature-audience animated series from Anima Studios based on the comics created by Luciano Saracino and Ariel Olivetti. It involves a future world where mystic Mayan masks transform young men into fighting animal spirits, with the ability to either uplift the oppressed, or exploit thier gifts for personal gain.
Garfield's New Look
The social campaign for the upcoming Garfield animated feature film has released the first piece of key art for the movie. Coinciding with International Cat Day, we have an image of the new CGI version of the cat. He's pretty much on-model with Jim Davis' comic strip artwork, but has the texture and depth you'd expect from computer modeling. The new movie features Chris Pratt as the voice of Garfield and Samuel L. Jackson as the voice of Garfield's long-lost father, Vic. The movie is due in theaters February 16, 2024.
Ironheart Set Photos Reveal Armor, Villain: The Hood
Actor Anthony Ramos is confirmed to be playing the Marvel Comics character The Hood in the upcoming Ironheart series. The Just Jared gossip site posted a slew of photos from the set of the Marvel Studios TV series with Ramos wearing the red cloak that imbues the street criminal with super-human powers. The photos also reveal your first look at star Dominique Thorne in full and partial versions of the Ironheart armor.

I Am Groot Episode Posters
The social campaign for the new Disney+ animated series I Am Groot has been releasing title-reveal posters for the show. The Marvel Studios series consists of five short episodes. The titles so far are: "Groot's First Steps," "The Little Guy," "Groot's Pursuit," and "Groot Takes A Bath." All episodes of the series arrive tomorrow on the streamer.
