Hudlin to Direct Adaptation of Black Cotton Star
Deadline reports that filmmaker Reginald Hudlin is set to direct a feature film based on the graphic novel Black Cotton Star for ZQ Entertainment. Deric Hughes and Benjamin Raab are writing the script.
The book, created by writer Yves Sente and artist Steve Cuzor and published by Pegasus Books tells of three African-America World War II soldiers on a side mission to find the first American flag sewn by Betsy Ross, with the belief that the flag contains a hidden star, placed there by Ross' housemaid Angela Brown.
Hudlin is also producing along with Adrian Askarieh under his Prime Universe shingle. Ara Keshishian and Petr Jakl are producing for ZQ. Martin J. Barab is executive producing. Sente and Cuzor are also executive producers.
Black Widow | Full Cast Poster
The social campaign for Marvel Studios' Black Widow has released a new poster for the film. The artwork puts Scarlett Johansson front and center, of course. She's flanked above by Florence Pugh and below by David Harbour and Rachel Weisz, with Taskmaster at the very bottom. We've seen all these characters in the trailers and ads. The poster also features O-T Fagbenle and Ray Winstone who have been far less visible on this project. The movie arrives in theaters and on Disney+ Premiere on July 9.
Loki | Timekeepers Poster
The social campaign for Marvel Studios' Loki has rolled out another new character poster ahead of this week's episode. The latest poster features the three space lizards themselves: the Time Keepers. Loki's (Tom Hiddleston) plans so far have been about overthrowing the totalitarian order of the timestream imposed by these mythic characters who are, as yet, unseen in the show. New episodes drop Wednesdays on Disney+.
