Madame Web Adds Isabela Merced
Actor Isabela Merced is the latest cast member to join Sony Pictures Entertainment's Madame Web project according to a report from Deadline. As with past casting news, it is unclear what role Merced, who toplined Dora and the Lost City of Gold, is playing. If we had to guess, we'd say she's playing Anya Corazon, aka Arana. The movie is targeted for July 7, 2023.
Daniela Melchior to Appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 3
Actor Daniela Melchior is confirmed to be among the cast of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 according to a report from Deadline. Melchior is said to be in a small role and Deadline's sources have ruled-out the character Moondragon. The actor previously worked with writer/director James Gunn in The Suicide Squad where she was featured prominently as Ratcatcher II.
Gunn also confirmed the casting with a social media post writing, "I can confirm (and confirm she’s wonderful in the role). [Daniela Melchior] is one of my favorite people [and] actors around, [and] I hope this is just the second of many projects we’ll work on together."
The Marvel Studios film is slated for release May 5, 2023.
