Snowpiercer 4 Derailed at TNT
Fans of the Snowpiercer TV series will be disappointed to learn that the forth season of the series, which has been completed, will not arrive on TNT, ever.
Deadline reports that the TNT has opted not to air what would have been the final season of the show. The move is the latest in fan frustrations created by the recent merger of TNT's parent company, Warner Bros., into the new Warner Bros. Discovery.
The theory is that releasing the series is the latest in tax write-offs by WBD, who dumped their finished Batgirl and Scooby Doo films in a similar manner. TNT has also moved away from scripted series in the post-merger strategy, and Snowpiercer was the last one.
However, all is not lost. Tomorrow Studios, who produce the series, are reportedly shopping for a new home and TNT tells Deadline that they are supporting efforts to relocate. Tomorrow apparently hopes to continue the franchise beyond the forth season.
