Invincible Publishes Season 1 Playlist
If you like the music in Prime Video's new animated series Invincible, then you'll want to check out the show's newly-launched Spotify playlist. It includes all the songs featured in season one. The show's creators promise to update it every Friday. New episodes of the show drop on Fridays as well.
DC Films Cancels Two Projects
Previously announced projects for the DC Extended Universe have officially been cancelled, according to Variety. A feature film adaptation of New Gods from director Ava Duvernay and the Aquaman spinoff, The Trench from director James Wan have officially been shelved by Warner Bros.
New Gods would have explored Kirby's Fourth World saga featuring some characters which were recently seen in Zack Snyder's Justice League. Darkseid is a key player there, along with Desaad, Granny Goodness and Steppenwolf. But that universe is rich with numerous other character like Orion, Mister Miracle, Barda and Lightray.
The Trench appeared to be a DCEU-adjacent creature thriller exploring the dangerous waters populated by legions of carnivorous merman creatures that the hero had to swim through in the Aquaman movie.
Batman: The Long Halloween Animated Feature Revealed
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed plans for a DC Universe animated feature film adaption Batman: The Long Halloween. The movie, which is the first of two parts, will star Jensen Ackles as Bruce Wayne/Batman, the late Naya Rivera as Catwoman and Josh Duhamel as Harvey Dent. It'll be directed by Chris Palmer from a script by Tim Sheridan, who previously collaborated on Superman: Man Of Tomorrow.
Other cast members include Billy Burke as James Gordon, Titus Welliver as Carmine Falcone, David Dastmalchian as Calendar Man, Troy Baker as Joker, Amy Landecker as Barbara Gordon, Julie Nathanson as Gilda Dent, Jack Quaid as Alberto, Fred Tatasciore as Solomon Grundy and Alastair Duncan As Alfred.
The film is expected to arrive in summer of 2021. Given the title, there is presumably a plan for a follow up movie to be released shortly after.
