Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight is the 1995 Universal Pictures live-action feature film spinning-off from the Tales From the Crypt TV series.
Jada Pinkett Smith stars as Jeryline, a convicted criminal free on work release, who finds herself trapped in a boarding house that is under siege by demons. There, with a group of strangers, she needs to survive the night in order to go free.
The film also stars Billy Zane, William Sadler, Thomas Haden Church, C.C.H. Pounder and John Kassir as the Cryptkeeper.
Ernest Dickerson directed the film from a script by Ehtan Reiff, Cy Voris and Mark Bishop.
The film scored mixed reviews from critics, but did well enough at the box office to prompt a continuation of the series in Tales From the Crypt: Bordello of Blood.
