Sin City is the ground-breaking 2005 movie directed by Robert Rodriguez, Frank Miller and Quentin Tarantino, based on the comics by Miller.
Lauded for its style and tone, Sin City in an ultra-faithful adaptation of the comics. Filmed on a green screen set, Rodriguez and company set out to create images on film that closely-mimicked Millers black and white wash style of art. It used the comics as both storyboard and script to create an anthology of hard-boiled crime stories that feature an all star cast that includes Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Clive Owen, Benicio Del Toro, Rosario Dawson, Carla Gugino and many more.
The movie spawned one less-successful sequel.
