It's light and darkness this week as bright-hearted stuff like Big Hero 6 and Teen Titans Go! lines up against murky fare like The Crow and Sin City in this week's so-funny-I-forgot-to-cry round up of C2Fs for the week of September 20, 2020!
September 21
New Season Big Hero 6: The Series - season 3, episode 1, "The Hyper-Potamus Pizza-Party-Torium" airs on Disney XD. The beloved animated series based on a little-known Marvel comics property returns. Hiro and a short-handed Big Hero 6 team attempt to stop Noodle Burger Boy and his new family.
September 22
The Addams Family - available on Hulu and Prime Video. The Addams Family is back on the big screen in the first animated comedy about the kookiest family on the block. Funny, outlandish, and completely iconic, the Addams Family redefines what it means to be a good neighbor. Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron and many more provide the voices.
The Crow - available on Blu-Ray. The 1994, franchise-launching goth classic gets a new Blu-Ray edition. The late Brandon Lee stars as Eric Draven, a man killed after watching his fiance brutally murdered on Devil's Night. One year later he is resurrected as The Crow, a spirit of vengeance who stalks the men responsible for the crime.
DC's Legends of Tomorrow - season 5, available on Blu-Ray. The Legends face TV hell, frat-house frights, sixties hippies and a Crisis on Infinite Earths in this short season.
Sin City - Unrated cut available on Blu-Ray. Robert Rodriguez broke new cinematic ground with this massively-faithful adaptation of Frank Miller's pulp crime epic.
September 24
Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans - available on Hulu. There are more Robins, Ravens, Cyborgs, Starfires and Beast Boys than an infinite multiverse can count in this battle royale between the current silly Titans with the also-recent edgy Titans.
The Amazing Spider-Man - available on Starz. A hiccup in the cinematic career began with this less-than-inspired reboot that pits Spidey against The Lizard, but manages to crawl most of the same territory Raimi did 8 years earlier.
September 25
The Boys - season 2, episode 6, "Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker" is available on Amazon Prime. You will likely be flabbergasted, appalled, thrilled and delighted by all the things that happen to the anti-Supes squad this week. We don't know! Amazon doesn't provide episode summaries!
Prime Rewind: Inside The Boys - season 1, episode 5 available on Amazon Prime. Aisha Tyler hosts this talk show unpacking the events of the sixth episode of The Boys.
It's another lean week for C2F viewing, but next week six big heroes return to fill out your viewing time. Stay tuned to the episode guides, and film and TV releases on our Calendar page.
