Road to Perdition is the 2002 feature film adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name written by Max Allan Collins and illustrated by Richard Piers.
Tom Hanks stars as Michael Sullivan, a mob enforcer for boss John Rooney (Paul Newman). Sullivan constantly outshines the Boss' volatile son Connor (Daniel Craig), prompting a vendetta. When Connor targets Sullivan's family, he's forced to flee with his only surviving son (Tyler Hoechlin), while working to circle back on Connor and make him pay.
The film is directed by Sam Mendes from a screenplay by David Self. The movie opened to wide critical acclaim, garnering six Academy Award nominations and one win. While the graphic novel series had a number of sequels, the movie has not.
