Logan is the 2017 20th Century Studios live-action feature film based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine. It is the third and final movie in the Wolverine film series.
Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Wolverine, now showing his age in the year 2029. It's a world where mutants are dying out and Logan is the caretaker of Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), now in this 90s who is losing control of his mutant powers to dementia. Logan is aided by the mutant Caliban (Stephen Merchant). He also comes to the responsibility of shepherding a young mutant called Laura (Dafne Keen) who is his clone. They are pursued by the cyborg Pierce (Boyd Holbrook).
The movie is directed by James Mangold from a script by Mangold, Scott Frank and Michael Green. Logan was a box office success and scored well with critics and fans alike. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
