The Defenders is the 2017 Netflix superteam show utilizing the long-standing Marvel title to assemble characters from its four running series. It is the fifth show in the Marvel Netflix Universe.
Finn Jones, Mike Cotler, Krysten Ritter and Charlie Cox reprise their roles as Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Daredevil respectively. They combine forces to prevent Elektra (Elodie Yung) and the Hand's leader Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver) from unleashing destruction on New York City. The series also sees supporting players Eka Darville, Elden Henson, Jessica Henwick, Simone Missick, Rachael Taylor, Deborah Ann Woll, Scott Glenn and Rosario Dawson reprising roles from the connected series.
