Deadpool 2: Theatrical Release

Deadpool 2 is the 20th Century Studios 2018 sequel to Deadpool both based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is the second film in the Deadpool film series.

After the death of his girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) searches for a direction attempting suicide, joining the X-Men and landing in jail. He encounters Cable (Josh Brolin) who has arrived from the future to kill the young mutant named Russell (Julian Dennison). Deadpool starts his own team called X-Force, which includes Domino (Zazie Beetz), to help stop Cable. 

Other returning cast members include T.J. Miller and Brianna Hildebrand.

The movie was directed by David Leitch from a script by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and Reynolds.

Deadpool 2 was a success at the box office ranking in the top 10 for the year. It is also one of the best-selling R-rated movies of all time. The movie was well-received by critics and fans alike. 

It was re-released at the end of 2018 with a PG-13 edit under the title of Once Upon a Deadpool, which included a new framing sequence with Fred Savage.

The movie is followed by Deadpool 3.
