300: Rise of an Empire is Warner Bros' 2014 live-action sequel to 300, based on the Dark Horse Comics series Xerxes: The Fall of the House of Darius and the Rise of Alexander by Frank Miller.
The film tells the story of General Themistokle (Sullivan Stapleton) who confronted the armies of Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) at sea. The story runs parallel to the events of the first movie. The movie also stars Eva Green, Lena Headey, Jack O'Connell.
