Untitled Kingdom of Wakanda Series

The Untitled Kingdom of Wakanda project is a planned Disney+ television series based on the characters and concepts found in Marvel's Black Panther comics.

Plans for the show were leaked in a February 2021 news article discussing a five year TV development deal between The Walt Disney Company and Proximity Media,  the production company headed by filmmaker Ryan Coogler. Coogler is, of course, the director of the Black Panther films. While Coogler is expected to develop a number of series, both with Marvel and separate from Marvel, his first project is expected to be one exploring the Kingdom of Wakanda.
