Under the Hood (Short)

Under the Hood is a 2009 live-action Warner Bros. short film that was packaged as an extra on the home video release of the feature film Watchmen.

Presented as a documentary from within the world of the film, the short represents the back-matter found in the comic series, which was presented to readers as newspaper articles, public documents and excerpts from "Under the Hood" the autobiography of the original Night Owl Hollis Mason (Stephen Mchattie). The documentary, then is old news reels, TV segments and interview footage. Many of the cast of the film appear including Carla Gugino and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Ted Friend anchors the narrative playing Larry Culpeper, host of the fictitious "Culpeper Minute" TV news magazine.
