Timecop (1994 film)

Timecop is the 1994 Universal Pictures live-action adaptation of the Dark Horse Comics title of the same name, created by Mike Richardson and Mark Verheiden.

Action film icon Jean-Claude Van Damme stars as Max Walker, an agent in the Time Enforcement Commission, an organization created to prevent criminal use of time travel technology. Walker uncovers a profiteering scheme by a 2004 presidential candidate Aaron McComb (Ron Silver) who is manipulating the timeline. Walker struggles to stop McComb's scheme and also save the life of his wife who died in a murder plot ten years earlier.

Peter Hyams directed the movie from a script by Verheiden. The film was a box office success and well-liked by audiences. It spawned a TV Series spinoff as well as a direct-to-DVD sequel.
