The Walking Dead is the TV series adaptation of the Image Comics series created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard.

The show followed the story arcs of the comics somewhat faithfully, starting with sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) who survives a gunshot wound that puts him in a coma.
