Henry Zaga, Anya Taylor-Joy, Blu Hunt, Charlie Heaton and Maisie Williams gather to talk about playing the next generation of X-Men in The New Mutants. The movie has been rescheduled due to the present pandemic concerns, but will be released some time this summer.
The New Mutants is directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in our Stars) from a script he co-wrote with Knate Lee, both self-described fans of the comics.
The cast includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Charlie Heaton as Cannonball, Henry Zaga as Sunspot, Blu Hunt as Mirage and Alice Braga as Cecilia Reyes. The film reshapes the comic book story with horror overtones. Instead of being educated at an upstate school the five young mutants are imprisoned in a secret asylum-like facility.
