Blu Hunt gives you a primer on Dani Moonstar, an orphaned mutant plagued by literal demons, in this promo spot for the 20th Century Studios film The New Mutants, opening in theaters on Friday.
The New Mutants is directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in our Stars) from a script he co-wrote with Knate Lee, both self-described fans of the comics.
The cast includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Charlie Heaton as Cannonball, Henry Zaga as Sunspot, Blu Hunt as Mirage and Alice Braga as Cecilia Reyes. The film reshapes the comic book story with horror overtones. Instead of being educated at an upstate school the five young mutants are imprisoned in a secret asylum-like facility.
