Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is the 2023 Nickelodeon CGI animated feature film based on the indie comics title Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. It is the first film in a planned series of TMNT animated films.
Providing lead voices are Micah Abbey (Cousins for Life) as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. (The Chi) as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu (The Walking Dead: World Beyond) as Leonardo, and Brady Noon (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers) as Raphael.
The rest of the extensive cast includes Hannibal Buress (Spider-Man: Homecoming) as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne (X-Men: First Class) as Leatherhead, John Cena (Peacemaker) as Rocksteady, Jackie Chan (Rush Hour) as Splinter, Ice Cube (Barbershop) as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou (What We Do in The Shadows) as Wingnut, Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) as April O’Neil, Giancarlo Esposito (The Boys) as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verses) as Ray Fillet, Seth Rogen as Bebop, Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) as Mondo Gecko and Maya Rudolph (Big Hero 6) as Cynthia Utrom.
Here's the synopsis for the film: "After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them."
Jeff Rowe (The Mitchells vs The Machines) is set to direct the film. Brendan O'Brien is writing the script.
Rogen and Evan Goldberg (Preacher, The Boys) are producing along with James Weaver.
Parent company Paramount has also announced that this film will kick off a series of animated films targeted for the Paramount+ streaming platform, each focusing on a TMNT villain.
