Taika Waititi To Direct The Incal Feature Film

Filmmaker Taika Waititi has announced plans to adapt Alejandro Jodorowsky and Moebius' best-selling graphic novel The Incal to the big screen. Waititi, who fans of this site know well as the director of Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder is set to direct the film. He's also co-writing with frequent collaborator Jemaine Clement (What We Do In The Shadows) and Peter Warren (Ghost Team).

The story involves a low-rent private detective in a dystopian, sci-fi world who discovers an ancient artifact called "The Incal." The discovery makes him the target of the world's most fearsome warlords.

Publisher Humanoids and Primer Entertainment are partnered in developing the film.
