Stumptown arrives on network television this week. Get to know the characters from these motion poster tweets.

First up we have Grey, Dex's man Friday played by Jake Johnson...

Then we have Hoffman, the good cop played by Michael Ealy...

Most importantly, Dex, the private investigator...

The show debuts Wednesday on ABC.

Based on the Stumptown graphic novel series by Greg Rucka and Matthew Southworth, this TV series follows Dex Parios (Cobie Smulders) as a strong, assertive, and sharp-witted army veteran with a complicated love life, gambling debt, and a brother to take care of in Portland, Oregon. Her military intelligence skills make her a great P.I., but her unapologetic style puts her in the firing line of hardcore criminals and not quite in alliance with the police.

The cast includes Cobie Smulders, Tantoo Cardinal, Cole Sibus, Adrian Martinez, Camryn Manheim and Michael Ealy. It airs in the US on ABC
