Static Shock (Film)

Static Shock is a planned Warner Bros. film based on the DC Comics character of the same name.

Static features Virgil Hawkins, a teenaged science scholar who gains the superhuman ability to control electricity. He was originally introduced in comics by independent publishers Milestone Media, who had a distribution deal with DC Comics. Static became the subject pf an animated TV series called Static Shock. Eventually the publisher was sold entirely to DC and Static was incorporated into the DCU.

Reginald Hudlin and Michael B. Jordan are set to produce the live-action project, which looks to be the cornerstone of a universe centered around black superheroes. This could mean the incorporation of additional Milestone concepts such as Icon, Hardware and the Blood Syndicate.
