Spider-Woman (film)

Spider-Woman is a rumored, live-action Sony Pictures adaptation of the Marvel Comics character of the same name.

An August 19, 2020 report from Deadline places Olivia Wilde in the director's chair for an untitled movie that is rumored to focus on a female character in their growing Spider-Man film franchise. The rumors, which were not confirmed independently, indicate that Spider-Woman is that character. 

Better known as an actor, Wilde recently drew accolades as a director for her 2019 coming-of-age comedy Booksmart. Katie Silberman, who wrote that film, is said to be penning the script for this one as well. Amy Pascal is producing with Rachel O’Connor serving as executive producer.
