Sabrina, WandaVision Rank in Streaming Top 10
The Nielsen ratings services has released its top 10 streaming lists for the week of January 11 - January 17. Two comic-based properties rank in the Original Content list.
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina holds the #5 spot, slipping two places from last week. The Netflix series has four seasons of content totaling 36 episodes available for viewing, which resulted in 442 million minutes of eyeball time.
In the #6 spot is WandaVision on Disney+. The showing here is a bit more impressive considering there were only two episodes available in this window, totally about one hour of content. Regardless, fans played those debut episodes for a total of 434 minutes of viewing time.
The buzzed-about Bridgerton moved up to the #1 spot, pushing last week's tournament champ Cobra Kai to #2.
Snowpiercer Picks Up Archie Panjabi For Season 3
Deadline reports that actor Archie Panjabi is set to board Snowpiercer for season 3. The show got an early greenlight for a third season from TNT before season two even started. Panjabi will play a character called Asha, but no further details are provided. The actor is well-known for her Emmy-winning role on The Good Wife.
Black Lightning Spinoff Adds Three to Cast
Actors Sibongile Mlambo, Alexander Hodge and James Roch will be among the cast of the planned Painkiller TV series spinning-off from Black Lightning, according to a report from Deadline. The seventh episode of this season of Lightning will provide a backdoor pilot for the series, which would see Jordan Calloway reprising the title character. The three named actors aren't in that episode but will have regular roles if The CW brings it to series. Mlambo is set to play Maya, Hodge would play Philky and Roch would play Cousin Donald. From the sound of it all three are allies of Painkiller.
