Preacher producer Evan Goldberg chats Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga and Joseph Gilgun about the bizarre collection of characters that have graced four seasons of the show.
As Preacher inches closer to the finale, God's endgame for the universe begins to click into place. Trapped between heavenly prophecies, hellish prisons, and all-out nuclear war, Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy make their bloody way to the Most High. Whether they can reach God in time — or whether all this carnage is part of His divine plan — will soon be revealed as the series barrels towards the end of the world.
Based on the acclaimed comic book series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, Preacher tells the story of Jesse Custer, a hard-living wreck of a priest in a small Texas church who becomes possessed by the supernatural ability to make people do whatever he says. Aided by a wayward, Irish vampire named Cassidy, and his former partner-in-crime Tulip, Custer embarks on a quest to expose God himself.
Preacher stars Dominic Cooper, Joseph Gilgun and Ruth Negga. It was developed for AMC television by Sam Catlin, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The first season aired in 2016. The fourth and final season debuts in August of 2019.
