Epix has unveiled its trailer for season two of it's Batman-universe prequel Pennyworth. Jack Bannon returns as the security expert assisting Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) in London of the 1960s. The new seasons promises an escalating of tensions with Lord Harwood (Jason Flemyng) and of romans with Martha Kane (Emma Paetz). The new season starts December 13.

Pennyworth is the 2019 live-action TV series based on DC Comics characters created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.
It follows Bruce Wayne’s legendary butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier who forms a security company and goes to work with Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), Bruce’s billionaire father, in 1960’s London. The pair are drawn into conflict with Lord Harwood (Jason Flemyng) who runs a shadow organization called the Raven Union which aims to overthrow the U.K. government.
Bruno Heller (Gotham, The Mentalist, Rome) serves as executive producer/writer and Danny Cannon serves as executive producer/director (Gotham, CSI series).
The show originated on the cable/streaming service EPIX, but relocated the HBO Max for its third season.
As of season three the show is promoted under the title Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler.
