The Owners (2020 Film)

The Owners is the 2020 live-action feature film based on the graphic novel Une Nuit de Pleine Lune by Hermann Huppen and Yves H.

A group of criminals (played by Jake Curran, Ian Kenny and Andrew Ellis) attempt to rob a wealthy home on the English countryside in which allegedly hides a safe full of money. Maisie Williams plays Mary, who is coerced into participating in the crime. Things escalates to imprisonment and violence when the home owners (Sylvester McCoy, Rita Tushingham) return unexpectedly and things spiral out of control.

Julius Berg directed from a script he co-wrote with Mathieu Gompel and Geoff Cox.

The film was released during the 2020 pandemic and had little chance of success at the box office. It was greeted by mixed reviews from the critics.
